Week 2 of the First Nine Weeks

We are Second Graders and we can do HARD THINGS!

Tips to help your child be successful this Nine Weeks Period:

• Make sure that you check your child's Positive Points sheet every day. 
• Ask them about what we are doing/learning in class.
• Visit our class to be a reader or lunch helper, if possible. We need you!

You can also do these things so that your child does not get behind:

• make sure your child has the supplies that they need to complete homework
• allow your child to complete most of their homework alone (You may give them a little help by reading or explaining the directions.)
• speak to your child about what they are learning
• give your child encouragement when they become frustrated
• talk to Mrs. Lopez when you are concerned
